“Dressed To The Nines”

My journey started in my Grandparents house, a few weeks after my grandma had passed my Grandad said to me ‘she said we should give all the jewellery to you and you’ll know what to do with it’. I used to spend hours trying on all my grandma’s clothes and accessories, she had tons and tons of jewellery in boxes and drawers hidden all over the house. When I inherited it all, I remember spending time going through each piece, sorting them, researching them and wondering how to find new homes for the pieces I didn’t keep. I did markets, Etsy, eBay until most of the stuff was sold, but by then I’d got the bug - I loved it! I met so many amazing people and started realising I could source lot’s more great things and introduce the beauty of vintage jewellery to more people. It felt like something I couldn’t stop doing so The Nines was born!

Alongside a hectic day job and an energetic toddler, I focus on sourcing and curating jewellery from the 60’s to the 90’s with a particular love of gold and an emphasis on chains, bracelets and earrings. I try to make sure each piece is unique and wearable and most importantly affordable - I want vintage to be and stay accessible, it’s my job to make sure it’s a viable alternative to new and can be enjoyed by everyone.

As well as launching weekly collections here on the site, I’m also proud to partner with the amazing Clare from Retold curating monthly collections that sit alongside her incredible minimal vibe vintage fashion collections.

Every piece I source, I love! I really hope that you find the piece for you and that it can continue its journey being loved by generations for years to come.

A note on sustainability

Sustainability is so so important and the reason I’m such a champion of helping people embrace vintage!

We are always looking for ways to reduce our single use packaging and maximise efficiency. All items you buy from The Nines will be packaged in handy re-usable pouches, protected with a small amount of paper bubble wrap/ recyclable tissue paper and posted in a small recyclable cardboard box or envelope. This process ensures your item reaches you in the same condition it left us in and reduces plastic waste.
