Five things you should know about Jakob Bengel & our collection

IMG_1960.jpg

Our first drop of amazing Jakob Bengel pieces have arrived. This is the first of four drops happening between now and the end of the year! So in the spirit of the new launch I thought I’d share five things you should know…

  1. Jakob Bengel originally manufactured pocket watch chains before moving in to making and designing jewellery

  2. The factory closed on the outbreak of World War Two in 1939 and lay closed and undiscovered until 2001 when collectors discovered the factory and its catalogues.

  3. Jakob Bengel jewellery is described as ‘Machine Age’ - the period in the early 20th century notable for the development of new technology and industrial processes.

  4. Our full collection features necklaces, earrings and bracelets in copper, brass, rose gold, rolled gold/gold plate, along with special pieces containing galalith and enamel.

  5. We only acquire our pieces from reputable trusted dealers, and can guarantee that all are genuine Jakob Bengel pieces.
